The congregation of Livingston Greater Missionary Baptist Church voted to keep its pastor, Lenell McGee, who was charged with rape.

A church deacon said a majority of 48 people voted to keep McGee. The vote came after McGee was charged with rape in Hinds County.

Forest Hill High School officials said McGee resigned from his job as a janitor at the school in March after a girl walked into the school, started crying and claimed McGee raped her at a hotel.
