Let God Love You, by Daniel Whyte III

Dear Daughters & YBW:

I really want you to understand that God loves you. He really does. Now, I am not just saying that. Rather, I really want you to get it because so many young women have messed up their lives seeking love in all the wrong places.

According to I John 4:8: "God is love." True love emanates from God. This love is called agape love, which is unconditional and unselfish love. His love accepts you just as you are. May I encourage you to bask in the love of God?

Here's how you can enjoy the love of God:

First, you must understand that God loves you so much that He will never forsake you. "For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5b). Remember once you trust Christ as Saviour, you will always be His Child. God's love will never fail you. It has never failed me, and it won't fail you either.

Second, you must keep your mind on God. The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." If you want to enjoy the love and peace of God throughout your life, keep your mind on God all day, every day.

Third, another way to enjoy the love of God is to stay in constant contact with Him. Consider with me the following verses that encourage us to stay in touch with God:

"Pray without ceasing."

--I Thessalonians 5:17

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

--Ephesians 6:18

"Men ought always to pray, and not to faint."

--Luke 18:1

Fourth, another way to enjoy the love of God is to make sure you don't break fellowship with him through disobedience and sin. "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (I John 1:6 & 7).

Fifth, another great way to enjoy the love of God is by sharing His love with others. The Lord commissions us, as His children, to share His love with others in what is called "the Great Commission." "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:19-20).

If you want to share God's love with others, here's a quick and easy way to do it:

A. Help them to understand that according to the Bible, we are all sinners, and that we all deserve punishment in Hell. Show them Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23.

B. Tell them that God loves them so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for their sins. Show them John 3:16.

C. Tell them that they must trust Jesus Christ to save them. Show them Romans 10:9-13.

Daughters and YBW, bask in the love of God throughout your life, and be the happy, peaceful, powerful, vibrant, Christian woman that God wants you to be.
