In Comparison, It's Nothing
I can still remember suffering through my early years of walking in obedience to God's Spirit. I thought, Dear God, am I ever going to get over this? Am I ever going to get to the point where I can obey You and not hurt while I'm doing it?
Once the fleshly appetite is no longer in control, we reach the point where obeying God is easy, where we actually enjoy obeying Him. There are things that are easy for me now that were once very difficult and painful, and the same thing happens to everyone who is willing to go through the difficulties to get to the glory.
In Romans 8:18, Paul basically said, "We suffer a little now, but so what? The glory that will come from our obedience far outshines the suffering we endure now." That is good news! Whatever we may suffer, whatever we may go through, is absolutely nothing compared to the good things God is going to do in our lives as we continue to press on with Him.
God's word for you today: God will do great things in your life as you continue to move forward with Him.
