Simply Divine

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. - Psalm 23:4
God is Simply Divine! There are really no other words that come to mind right now that I can use to describe Him. I know that He is I Am that I Am, but for some reason this isn't what I think of Him as being today. Simply Divine comes to mind because of the magnitude of His goodness.
He encompasses everything, and everything that He encompasses is Simply Divine. He works out every situation that is meant to harm His children and turns it right around and makes good come forth. He's Simply Divine!
Through the worst of times, the darkest of nights, the heaviest of tears, and the floods of life God is Simply Divine. Think about it. I'm not addressing this question just to folk who say they know God, but I pose this question to every man, boy, woman and girl. Think over your life and through your worst days. Yet, you are still here on earth. Your work, your purpose is not yet completed. I didn't say your past or your present living situation is great.
You may be experiencing something so horrid, so unthinkable that you don't know if there is a God. But I am here to tell you that God is real. You will come out of this season of hurt. I'm no prophet or anything of that nature. I'm just sharing with you what I believe for your life and for mine.
There were times when I thought I was gone from this earth at the hands of man, yet God is Simply Divine. He showed Himself well able to take care of me. Out of all of the billions of people in this world, God knows me by name. He knows you by name too. He is Simply Divine in that way. He knows everything that ever was, that ever is and that ever will be. God is Simply Divine.
Where would I be if it were not for His mercy and His grace? How many times have I fallen off the wagon of faith and tried to place my life in my own hands? How many times have you said that you could handle a problem on your own and failed to seek God in prayer? How many times have you given up on God? The good news is that when we gave up on God, He did not give up on us. When we give up on God, He does not give up on us. While we're giving up on God, He isn't giving up on us. While we turn loose of His hand, He yet holds on to ours. He is Simply Divine.
This blog may not be grammatically correct. Some of you writers and authors like myself might say she's switching point of view. But this week, my friends, it's not about correct point of view or proper punctuation, it's all about the One who is Simply Divine - Because He is good like that. He can fix things for me while at the very same moment He is fixing things for you. He did not leave us to our own senseless devices. He rescues me from the miry pit of sin. Time and time and time again He delivers me from my enemies. He delivers me from myself when I self-condemn and belittle this temple that He sought fit to uniquely form and design. Oh, God how grateful I am to You. Why don't you join with me this week and believe that God is Simply Divine because He is!
