Is the Lord with you? If He is, He will make you successful--according to His definition of success.
I have seen this periodically: A man or woman with a great legacy of family mess will overcome that legacy by the grace and power of Jesus Christ. By every right, this man or woman should be in prison, on drugs, or dead, but God has made him or her successful. Oh, the marvelous grace of God!
So Potiphar put Joseph in charge of everything in his house, and the Lord blessed Potiphar's house on account of Joseph. With Joseph in charge, Potiphar did not concern himself with anything in his house. We have seen in this book that God blesses others because of those who have found grace in His sight. We have seen that not only the consequences but the blessings of a family are transmitted to later generations. But the big point is that God blessed Joseph and all that he did--in spite of his family mess!
God can bless you in spite of your family mess, too. Family mess cannot thwart your destiny when you are trusting and obeying God.
