"The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told" (Luke 2:20).

As we approach the end of the year, I would dare to say that you have "something" to shout about. Just like the shepherds in the text you have at least one reason to give God glory.
I would like to suggest that we have received confirmation in regard to God's revelation this past year. We've been blessed with jobs, promotions and raises. We've been healed from sickness and other afflictions. We've been sustained even though sometimes we've been without. We've moved into houses and we've purchased new cars. We've got something to shout about.
You may not have much. You may not be where you want to be. Things may not be going the way you would like them to go, but I dare you to reflect on what God has done for you and you'll discover that you have a reason to give Him praise. The shepherds praised and gave glory to God because things turned out just like the angel said. They witnessed Jesus, the Savior, lying in a manger just as it had been spoken to them. That's what I like about God. He will back up what He told you. He will bring what He said to pass.
You ought to take a moment to think about how faithful He's been. You ought to reflect on the promises He's already fulfilled. If you're still waiting for Him to manifest some blessings in your life, draw inspiration from what He's already done.
