Greater is He That is in Us

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world."  (1 John 4:4, King James Version)

Although we are living in this world, we do not have to allow the world to live in us.  Being a Christian does not exempt us from the pressures of life, the temptations of sin, or the negative opinions and actions of others.  However, because "GREATER is He that is in [us] than He that is in the world," we have the power to overcome all that is contrary to God's Word and will for our lives.  There is no pressure, temptation or negative force that we cannot resist because of the Spirit that lives within us -- the same Holy Spirit that leads, guides, directs, counsels, comforts, and convicts us when we yield ourselves to Him.

Refuse to allow people or circumstances to disturb your peace and to deter your destiny.  God has already given you double because He is with you to both outweigh and outnumber your troubles.

God, I thank You that I am called Your child.  I acknowledge and appreciate the presence of Your Holy Spirit dwelling in me, and I invite You to transform me into who You originally created me to be -- a person with greatness and vast creativity waiting to be unleashed.  I thank You that I am called to impact the world for Your glory, others' benefit, and my fulfillment.  In Jesus' name.
