Dear Stephanie: I am a 41-year-old who lives in Houston. My mother lives in Detroit, and she recently forwarded me some old correspondence between her and my aunt. My mother apparently brought up Uncle Kenneth. Well, I haven't thought about that for years, but he did molest me. I have never mentioned this to anyone; I heard at reunions and such that many of my cousins suffered through the same ordeal.*

On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, I was notified that L.I.F.T. Women's Resource Center recommended me as a speaker for Highland Park Community High School in Highland Park, Michigan. I had never heard of the school until that day. I received a formal speaking request via email the next day (Wednesday). I followed up with a phone call to the school's Social Worker on Thursday. She asked if I could come right away. We arranged for me to speak just a few days later, the following Monday, November 16th.
