Bynum-Weeks Marriage is Over for Real (Juanita Bynum Admits they had Sex after their Separation)
They appeared to be a match
made in heaven, but toward the end not even prayer could keep them
together. The stormy marriage of national evangelist Juanita Bynum and
Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III —- temporarily calmed by a night
of passion —- was dissolved Friday in a Gwinnett County
courtroom. Both Bynum and Weeks expressed relief and a measure of joy
that their marriage, marked by an elaborate televised wedding, a
high-profile ministry and a parking lot fight, was over.

Bloomberg Defends Obama Before Jewish Audience
Mayor Michael Bloomberg urged
Jewish voters to denounce the whisper campaign that for months has
pushed the false rumor that Democratic presidential candidate Barack
Obama is secretly a Muslim. Bloomberg, mentioned as a possible vice

HIV 'is a Homosexual Disease'
How
should society deal with a behavior -– a lifestyle choice --
that places those who engage in the behavior at a high risk for poor
health and grave disease? If the behavior in question is smoking,
American society does everything in its power to discourage the
behavior to the point of passing laws that make it illegal to puff in
public places, even if the public venue is privately owned.

McClellan: Bush must Blame himself for Mistrust
If the nation doesn't trust the
Bush White House, it's the president's and Dick Cheney's own fault,
Bush's former spokesman told Congress Friday. From life-and-death
matters on down — the rationale for war, the leaking of
classified information, Cheney's accidental shooting of a friend
— the government's top two leaders undermined their
credibility by "packaging" their version of the truth, former press
secretary Scott McClellan said.

Teenage Author Encourages her Peers in her Book, The Girl God Wants: Sister-to-Sister Talk about Loving God, Living a Great Life, and Enjoying It
Society throws a lot of
ungodly stuff at young ladies today and it is hard to find things that
can empower them to greatness. In The Girl God Wants,
author, Daniella Whyte, (age 14 when she commenced the writing of this
book), helps young ladies with some of the issues that they face today.
Oftentimes, it is easier for teenagers to relate to each other and they
are sometimes more eager to listen to the advice of their peers, rather
than their parents, pastors, and teachers.

On "Being Saved"
in Black America
While growing up in a very
religious and church-going family, I often heard the phrase "Being
Saved." Now to me and my peers, "Being Saved" was a rather spooky and
mystical thing, and only the real holy folk could be such —
whatever it was.

Pastor
of the Week:
Dr. Stan B. Bennett, Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Richmond, VA
Dr.
Stanley (Stan) Bennett was born in Fairfield, Alabama on August 12,
1950. On November 18, 1972, Dr. Stan B. Bennett married Deborah E.
Patterson. They are blessed with one daughter, Pamela McCoy;
and,
two sons: Mathew and Jonathan. Dr. and Mrs. Bennett are
privileged to be the grandparents of several grandchildren. On July 29,
1979, after returning home from work as an assistant business manager,
God began to burden this young black man's heart to receive Christ as
Savior. After receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, God shortly
thereafter led he and his family to an Independent Fundamental Baptist
Church. Dr. Stanley Bennett was not called to build a "Black Church,"
but rather a church for all people! It is his belief that one
day
black, white, Hispanic and Asian will live together in
heaven.
Because of this, it ought to be able to work on earth, in the house of
God! To God be the glory, great things He has done! "...and
yet
there is room."
