(VIDEO) Michael Pfleger Talks about Controversial Remarks he made at Trinity UCC on 'Good Morning America'
The Rev. Michael Pfleger, the Chicago priest suspended for two weeks after a sermon mocking Sen. Hillary Clinton, returned to his pulpit on Sunday like a fighter ready to take back the title. In an exclusive interview, Pfleger told "Good Morning America" that he does not "apologize for being passionate, I don't apologize for being free." "But I apologize when my passion or my freeness and my flawedness of character get in the way of a content which is much more important to me," he told "GMA's" Robin Roberts.

Pro-life Victory: "Miraculous work of God" brings Closure of Seven Abortion Clinics throughout Dallas
In what pro-life advocates have described as nothing other than the miraculous work of God, a series of abortion clinics throughout Dallas have closed down after a prominent bishop began leading prayers for their closure 18 years ago. Since Bishop Charles Grahmann of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas first began leading his monthly prayer vigils outside the doors of abortion clinics over a decade ago, seven of the 13 abortion clinics in Dallas have closed, including, most recently, the only late term abortion clinic that deprived life to babies over 3 months old.

"Good Job, Tavis!" from Tom Joyner; Tavis Smiley's Last Day on the Tom Joyner Morning Show
Today, Tavis Smiley will do his last commentary on the TJMS. I don’t know how he’ll end his 12-year ride with us, but I have to admit, I’m hoping he will end it with an Obama endorsement.  But instead of dwelling on what he might say, I’d rather use this space to reflect on what Tavis has meant to the TJMS and to me personally as a colleague, motivator and friend.  In honor of his flair for sharing information briefly and succinctly, I will attempt to sum up the Tavis years with five quick points.

Lesbian Couples make up Large Majority of California Homosexual Marriages; Far more likely to Legalize their Relationship than Homosexual Men
California's "gay marriages" appear to be following trends in other states, where lesbian couples are far more likely than homosexual men to legalize their relationships. The Sacramento Bee reported that a sampling of marriage licenses in Sacramento County showed 60 percent were obtained by lesbian couples, 40 percent by male couples. Elsewhere, in Yolo County, lesbian couples made up 65 percent of all marriage licenses. Because the marriage certificates no longer list the couple's sex -- instead of "bride" and "groom" the forms say "Party A" and "Party B" -- the newspaper was forced to go by first names to determine the makeup of the couple. In about a dozen cases in Sacramento County (for instance, "Dusty and Robye"), that was impossible, the newspaper said.

It can be frustrating when it seems everyone is doing their life’s calling and is happy doing it, but you are still searching to fulfill and pursue your life’s passion. On "Being Saved" in Black America
While growing up in a very religious and church-going family, I often heard the phrase "Being Saved." Now to me and my peers, "Being Saved" was a rather spooky and mystical thing, and only the real holy folk could be such — whatever it was.
