Iran says U.S. attitude to choice of U.N. envoy "unacceptable"

Iran on Wednesday dismissed as "unacceptable" U.S. government reservations about Tehran's choice of Hamid Abutalebi as its new U.N. ambassador, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Hamid Abutalebi, pictured, was accused of overseeing the alleged assassination by Iranian agents of Mohammad Hossein Naghdi in Rome in 1993 when he was the Iranian ambassador in Italy.

Israel 'deeply disappointed' by Kerry's remarks on peace talks
