Howard Rolls to 49-21 Win over Savannah State

Floyd Haigler threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a fourth to lead Howard to a 49-21 blowout of Savannah State on Saturday night.

Haigler connected with Willie Carter for a 49-yard score and a 17-yarder and hit Ulyss Alexander for a 39-yard touchdown. He also scored on a 1-yard run for the Bison (1-3).

Karlos Whitaker ran 19 times for 100 yards and two scores and Carter caught six passes for 112 yards for Howard.

Kurvin Curry was 11-of-28 for 126 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Tigers (2-3). He also ran for 77 yards.
