Jennifer Hudson: 'Praying Every Morning' Keeps her Grounded

"I'm so grateful," she tells Jet magazine. "My first Grammy and my first tour, it doesn't get any better than this."

Hudson, 27, is set to go on the road with musician Robin Thicke who wrote the song "Giving Myself" for her self-titled album.

"Jennifer is someone that I've always loved and admired, so when the opportunity for us to do this together came about, it was a no-brainer," Thicke says of Hudson.

When asked how she survives hard times, the "Dreamgirl" responds, "Praying every morning and thanking God for every single blessing keeps me grounded and motivated to be the very best that I can be in everything that I do."

Hudson's mother, brother and nephew were murdered late last year -- the singer won a Grammy this year for Best R&B Album and thanked her "family in heaven."
