Miss California says a Web site has posted racy photos of her in an attempt to belittle her Christianity.
Carrie Prejean says photos taken of her as a teenager had been released "surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith."
In a statement, Prejean also says the attacks on her and others who "speak in defense of traditional marriage" are intolerant and offensive.
A photo of Prejean wearing only pink panties with her back turned to the camera appeared Monday on the gossip blog theDirty.com.
The 21-year-old Prejean was named first runner-up to Miss North Carolina in the Miss USA pageant April 19.
Her response to a question about legalizing same-sex marriage may have cost her the title.

Jesus was crucified on a cross after being found innocent. Grin and bear it, but stand your ground. None of us were prefect before we were saved, but after we are saved we need to act prefect, because he is holy. Christian or not, she needs to keep telling the truth; same sex marriage is wrong.
