King Family Outraged by Comment Comparing George Tiller to MLK

Tiller's family made that announcement on Tuesday. The physician was shot to death more than a week ago, while serving as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.

Meanwhile, the family of murdered civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is speaking out against a Tiller supporter.

At a recent Tiller memorial service, late-term abortionist Dr. Leroy Carhart, compared Tiller's murder to King's assassination.

In a phone interview with CBN News, Alveda King, Dr. King's niece, called the comparison offensive beyond belief.

"In order to support what he is doing, he is attempting to call upon the name of Martin Luther King, Jr., because people still regard and respect everything my uncle did, and that is absolutely wrong," she said. "Dr. King was nonviolent. Abortion in every form is a violent act that violates the human rights of a little person with 48 chromosome in the womb of her mother."
