Dubai to Host '13 World Championships

Dubai has been selected to host the 2013 swimming world championships.

FINA president Mustapha Larfaoui made the announcement on Saturday, the second day of the current worlds in Rome. Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, beat out Moscow and Hamburg, Germany.

Larfaoui said the time of year for the 2013 championships is still to be determined. They are expected to be held indoors.

Shanghai will host the next worlds in 2011.
