Torres Flew with Helicopter Pilot two Days before N.Y. Crash

Swimmer Dara Torres says she took a New York helicopter tour last week with the same pilot who died in a crash with a small plane over the Hudson River.

Torres told the Associated Press that she took her 3-year-old daughter, Tessa, on a tour last Thursday during a stopover in New York after the world swimming championships. The helicopter belonged to Liberty Tours and was flown by 32-year-old Jeremy Clarke.

Two days later, Clarke was at the controls when a helicopter collided with a small plane, sending both aircraft into the river and killing all nine people aboard.

Torres learned Monday that her pilot was the same one killed in the crash. She says she was "kind of freaked out" and adds "it just wasn't my time yet."
