A seventh member of World Vision staff working for children and
displaced communities in North Western Pakistan has succumbed to
injuries following Wednesday's devastating attack at the Oghi office in
Mansehra district.
Imtiaz John, 34, died on Sunday. He leaves a wife and four month old child.
A group of gunmen entered World Vision's compound, 65 kilometres north of Mansehra town, on Wednesday 10 March. They threw grenades and shot staff inside the office. As they left, they exploded a homemade bomb.
In addition to the seven fatalities, the attack left an additional six people with serious injuries. One remains hospitalised.
The seven staff members who have died as a result of the act of violence were:
Faheem Saleem, 23, warehouse assistant, single
Muhammad Ayaz, 27, engineer, single
Zaryab Yousaf, 24, programme monitoring and evaluation assistant, single
Liaqat Ali, 43, driver, married with six children
Kehkashan Zia Mufti, 31, programme officer, single
Jamshaid Ahmed, 36, advocacy officer, married with one child
Imtiaz John, 34, field coordinator, married with one child
