South Africa began its 100-day countdown to the 2010 World Cup on March
2, and CNN took a look at the progress at some of the new stadiums.
Soccer City in Johannesburg will host the opening match between South Africa's Bafana Bafana and Mexico on June 11, and it will also stage the final on July 11.
The new ground is complete on the inside, but the outside area was still under construction when CNN visited.
There are also concerns over Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, which still does not have a pitch due to problems with growing suitable grass.
Chief organizer Danny Jordaan told CNN he expects it to be ready in April.
