New data from Nielsen shows that African Americans average more than
1,300 minutes a month texting and talking, followed by Hispanics at 826
minutes, Asian/Pacific Islanders at 692 minutes, and whites at 647
minutes each month.
African Americans, Women, and Southerners were found to talk and text
the most in the United States across the board, while African Americans
and Hispanics are the champion texters specifically - with Hispanics
sending and receiving around 767 SMS messages a month, and
African-Americans exchanging around 780.
The totals are significantly more than Asians/Pacific Islanders (384 texts a month) and whites (566 texts a month).
