Vanderbilt said one of Chaplain Mark Forrester's first tasks will be to address the fallout over its new non-discrimination policy.

The new policy is what school leaders call an "all-comers policy," requiring university clubs to allow anyone to join and run for leadership.

It also means Christian groups must throw out faith criteria used to determine student leaders.

In an interview with CBN News last March, Forrester said he didn't view the policy as a threat.
