Two Broncos fined for hits on Cam Newton

A pair of Broncos defensive players were fined for illegal hits on Cam Newton last week in Carolina.

Linebacker Von Miller was fined $21,000 for roughing the passer for a hit in which he grabbed at Newton's ankles.

Defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson was fined $15,000 for making a horse collar tackle on Newton as Vickerson tackled the quarterback near the sideline.

"I was kind of expecting it. I didn't think I touched it that much, but you chase a quarterback out of bounds, it happens," Vickerson said.

Miller was fined $15,750 earlier this season for a hit on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub, while Vickerson was fined $7,500 for a hit in Denver's game against New
