New Report Says Beyonce Chose to Lip-Sync at Last Minute Because She Did Not Have Time to Rehearse

Beyoncé decided herself to lip-sync the national anthem at President Barack Obama's Inauguration because she got to Washington just one day before the performance did not have time to rehearse with the Marine Band, according to a report.

"Because she didn't have time to rehearse with the Marine Band, she decided to use her recording with the Marine Band," an unnamed Marine Band official told CNN late Monday. "It was all Beyoncé."

CNN reported that Beyoncé recorded her own version of the song and that it was then juxtaposed with the Marine Band's playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
