Each year, millions of people make New Year's resolutions related to leading healthier lifestyles. If you are among them, Christian singer-songwriter Nicole C. Mullen is leading the charge in 2013 with her "Water Challenge" that begins today through the end of February. Plus, learn more about her upcoming dance DVD.

Between 60 to 70% of our bodies are made from water: blood, muscles, tissues, and other parts. It's not surprising that we need to drink plenty of H20 keep our bodies running properly.
A few benefits of drinking water is that it keeps us hydrated; reduces fatigue; aids in good digestion; helps blood circulate properly throughout our bodies; flushes toxins out of our systems; and helps us burn fat.
If you're ready to join Mullen, the 45-year-old, fit and high-energy wife, mom, and ministry leader, follow these steps (Adapted from her Facebook page):
1. Drink at least 1/2 your weight in ounces. If you weigh 150lb, then you will drink 75oz. of water per day. If you are already drinking that amount, try upping it a bit.2. No sweet drinks: Soda pop, coffee, and tea does not count in the water challenge.3. For new water drinkers: If you are a new water drinker, drink one cup of H20 for every non-water drink you consume.
