Five months after undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Robin Roberts has triumphantly returned to the ABC morning show.
"Hi, it's Robin, and I've been waiting 174 days to say this: Good morning, America!" the 52-year-old said, surrounded by her beaming cohosts.
Dressed in a blue V-neck top, Roberts effortlessly slipped back into the anchor chair, and the show celebrated her return by showing video of her walking into the studio early Wednesday morning as an elated staff cheered her on.
"I keep pinching myself, and I realize that this is real, this is actually happening," Roberts said, quipping, "I don't have my froggy slippers on."
She also paid tribute to those who helped her along the way.
"Faith, family and friends have brought me to this moment," she explained, "and I am so full of gratitude."
