WHO/WHAT: The Potter's House, MegaCARE Missions and The Home Depot have partnered to host a "Home Depot Family Day," comprised of workshops that will teach residents of Dallas and the surrounding communities some of the most commonly needed home improvement skills. The event is free and open to the public.

There will be workshops, games and fun for the entire family. Workshop sessions will include:
- Home Energy and Water Conservation
- Basic Electrical Repairs
- Basic Plumbing/Leak Repairs
- Do it Herself Clinics: Basic Painting and Simple Mat Tile Setting
- Kids Workshops
WHEN: Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
WHERE: The Potter's House of Dallas, 6777 W. Kiest Blvd., Dallas, TX 75236
WHY: Taught by Home Depot professionals, these workshops are designed to provide hands-on knowledge and skills of the home improvement and remodeling business and ultimately save consumers money by attaining the skills to do it themselves.
Home Depot Family Day is an opportunity for men, women and children in the community to gather in an environment where they can learn new ways to improve their skills and gain knowledge in the home improvement industry which will enhance community lives. The home improvement industry offers a wealth of knowledge, rewarding careers and the gratification of helping others "fix" their problems.
