Dr. Teresa Hairston, BeBe Winans, and Other Atlanta Community Leaders Are Honored by the Interdenominational Theological Center

Recently, The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) an ecumenical consortium of six different seminaries celebrated 55 years of existence with the annual James H. Costen Awards Gala. The Award is named for the late, James H. Costen, a former ITC president and church leader, who died in 2003.
Eleven persons who have made professional contributions to the local and national community were honored at the "Tribute to Excellence."

The 2013 honorees in their respective categories were: Religion, Dr. Teresa Hairston, Founder and Publisher of Gospel Today Magazine, as well as Founder and Chair of the Gospel Heritage Foundation; Education, Dr. Larry Earvin, President of HustonTillotson College in Austin, Texas; 2 Business Award Recipients - Mr. John Deushane, President and General Manager of WXIA/WATL Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Eddie Meyers, Regional President, PNC Bank Atlanta;
