Martin Bashir's Place on MSNBC Is Taken Over by Alex Wagner Instead of Joy Reid

It will be Alex Wagner, and not Joy Reid, who takes Martin Bashir's 4 p.m. slot on MSNBC beginning next month.
Wagner had been hosting the network's noon program "Now" since November 2011, which means MSNBC will have another hour up for grabs. The network recently added anchor Ronan Farrow, who is scheduled to start in January has yet to be given an announced timeslot.

Bashir resigned earlier this month after suggesting, on air, that someone defecate in Sarah Palin's mouth when she likened the country's debt to China to slavery, because an infamous slave owner used to punish his slaves in that manner.
