BCNN1.com is dedicated to reporting breaking news from a black, Christian perspective for the glory of God. One of the reasons why BCNN1.com and its affiliate sites were started is because, as we looked over the landscape of Christian media and Christian publications, most of them are operated and controlled by White Christians who have not seen the need to include the many Black and Hispanic Christians who make up a huge part of the body of Christ in America and around the world. This site would have never been created if they had done so. There is more than just one or two African-American Christians doing something for the glory of God and for the Kingdom of God. We feel that they should be included in the national Christian dialogue about issues impacting the lives of all Christians. By the grace of God, in a few short years, BCNN1.com has established itself as the leading Christian news site from an African-American perspective that actually reaches all people - red, yellow, black, and white, for all are precious in God's site. BCNN1 is happy about the fact that we have just as many Whites and Hispanics who come to the site as Blacks. 

The Mission of BCNN1 is to:

  • Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people, and especially to our "kinsmen according to the flesh".
  • Inform people with the news that impacts Christians around the world. 
  • Inspire people with Christian-based stories, literature, books and prayer and soul-winning materials.
  • Educate people regarding the matters of spiritual warfare, prayer, witnessing for Christ, and occupying until Jesus comes.

BCNN1.com Statement of Faith

  1. Jesus Christ is the foundation and cornerstone of the church. He came to restore man's broken relationship with God. His finished work on the cross made that possible. Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins, we now have reason to fellowship with one another and proclaim salvation through His life and resurrection. (1 Corinthians 3:11, Ephesians 2:20, Romans 5:6-10)
      
  2. The Trinity: We believe that God is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Luke 3:21-22, John 14:26, Galatians 4:6, Ephesians 2:18, 1 Peter 1:2, 1 John 5:7)
      
  3. The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and is relevant and applicable to man today. Therefore we place great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private, and using it as a guide for our daily lives. (1 Timothy 4:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
      
  4. Worship: We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence, and love. We take special time to worship Him in church through song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives as well; at home, at work, and at play. (John 15:5, Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:15)
      
  5. Christian Growth: Our supreme desire is to know Jesus and to be conformed to His image, likeness, and example by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this by abiding in Jesus Christ through His Word, prayer, fellowship, and by yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit. (John 4:23 Colossians 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
      
  6. Love is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Christ Jesus. We endeavor to show a Christ-like love to all men. Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words as well as our actions. (John 13:34-35, 1 Corinthians 13:13, Philippians 2:3-5)
       
  7. Christian Service is a part of the Christian life and is the responsibility of all believers. Our goal is to develop the ministry of every member to the benefit of all. (Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)
       
  8. Evangelism is the responsibility of all Christians. We are called by Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of the nations. Our goal is to help people be connected with Jesus Christ and experience the gift of eternal life. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Matthew 28 :18-20)
       
  9. Second Coming of Jesus Christ: We believe that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent, and that it will be visible and personal. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 19:11-16)
