Best Movies (BCNN1's Top 10 Picks of 2012)

As you know, there are not that many good, Christian-based movies out there. However, there are many people, including ourselves, who love to watch faith-based movies when they do come out. The movies chosen below were selected for their emphasis on a Christian message and for their excellence in production. We applaud those who are seeking to have a major impact on a largely secular industry. 
1. Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day

Suspenseful, race against the clock thriller which takes audiences on a seven-day journey inside the souls and secrets of a married couple fighting to save their kidnapped child, while relying on their faith, strength and religious convictions to rebuild a broken marriage against all odds.


2. October Baby

Poignant performances and genuine emotion illuminate this inspiring coming-of-age story about self-discovery and the healing power of forgiveness. Newcomer Rachel Hendrix stars as Hannah, a college student whose world is shattered when she discovers her parents have kept a life-changing secret from her that will force her to question who she truly is.


3. Monumental

Monumental is the story of America's beginnings. Presented, produced, and starring Kirk Cameron, the 90-minute true story follows this father of six across Europe and the US as he seeks to discover America's true "national treasure" - the people, places, and principles that made America the freest, most prosperous, and generous nation the world has ever known.


4. Unconditional

Samantha Crawford lives a dream life. She is happily married on a ranch where she keeps her beloved horse, and the stories she's told and illustrated since childhood have become published books. When her husband Billy is tragically killed, Sam loses her faith and will to live. A death-defying encounter with two children leads to a reunion with Joe, her oldest friend. 8. Beautiful Soul

An urban contemporary re-telling of It's a Wonderful Life, R&B superstar Andre Stephens (Deitrick Haddon) is on top of the world. He has success, fame, and fortune but spiritually he has lost his way. However, his "perfect" world is shattered when his entourage is brutally attacked, leaving Andre and his best friend Chris Johnson (Robert Ri'chard) clinging to life. As his very existence hangs in the balance, Andre goes on a spiritual journey in a place that is neither on Earth nor in Heaven where he is given an opportunity to reevaluate his life, his faith and discover a beautiful soul.
